Illinois scholarship program

In December 2004, the MAEOPP Education Foundation Board received scholarship funding via the Grand Victorian Foundation to provide scholarships for students in several counties in the Chicago area.  The receipt of this funding allowed MEF to almost double its scholarship support, from $21,000 in 2004-05, to $41,000.00 in 2005-06.

The Illinois Scholarship Program (ISP), will support ten (10) new $2,000 scholarships for deserving students in the Chicago area.

ISP will allow MEF to increase its scholarship support for high achieving, financially deserving, low income and first generation students.

The project has three components:

a) a scholarship support component

b) a community service component,

c) a career and leadership development component

Eligible students are nominated by their program directors in the respective target area.

The ISP Program will continue a tradition of providing assistance to deserving students who historically have not had access to higher education.
