MEF Scholarships/Awards
The Foundation has and will continue to serve a large number (over 200,000) and one of the most diverse group of middle, high school and college students.
From 1996 to 2003, a total of 212 MEF Family of scholarships and awards were provided to low-income, first-generation, disabled and educational opportunity program (EOP) students. The number of scholarships and awards given, by year and scholarship and award type, is summarized below. For 2005-06, we welcomed the Illinois Scholarship Program (ISP), funded initially by the Grand Victoria Foundation, Chicago, Illinois. This scholarship provides ten, $2,000 scholarships for students in the Chicago metropolitan area. MEF is currently seeking support from other potential funders to increase the funding and scope of ISP.
